2017 Chesapeake Jubilee Food Vendor Application
Dear Prospective Chesapeake Jubilee Food Vendor:

Thank you for your interest in the 2017 Chesapeake Jubilee! The 2017 festival will be held May 19th thru 21st in Chesapeake City Park at 900 Greenbrier Parkway. We are in the process of booking our entertainers (visit our website for
details (www.chesapeakejubilee.org) and we are looking forward to another successful weekend.

The Chesapeake Jubilee draws approximately 35,000 people from all over the Hampton Roads
area and from the entire state. The 2016 Jubilee features Amusements of America large capacity rides, along with well-known entertainers scheduled for all three nights. The 2017 Jubilee will again host a “Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned” BBQ Cook-off. This is a nationally recognized competition which continues to be a huge success. We are expecting a large crowd again this year. Vendor spots for BBQ are limited. The Executive Committee will continue to charge an entrance fee for 2017 Jubilee attendees. This nominal fee will include admission to the entire Jubilee site. The Executive Committee has set the following fee structure for food concessions, based on required front footage.*

Up to 15 ft. - $1000.00

16 ft - 25 ft. - $1500

26 ft and up - $2000

* Due to limited space, measurements must be exact, including overhang and/or signage space.

10x20 - $275.00

The deadline for submitting your application is March 7, 2017. Notice of acceptance or rejection will be mailed the week of March 24, 2017. Please note that a $100 deposit is required with the application. Last minute cancellations (less than 30 days from Jubilee start date) will forfeit the deposit. Deposits will be refundable, provided that your site is clean and cleared of all trash before your departure, and meets Committee approval.
Payment of your site fees will be required upon return of your lease agreement no later than April 3, 2017. The lease agreement will contain the amount of your fees, which will be based upon the size of your requested concession space.

Please Note: The Jubilee reserves the right to limit food choices at vendor sites by contract in order to avoid excessive duplication of food products. Trailer: Which side do you serve from? (Please note that any awnings or windows to be opened cannot extend outside of the boundaries of your site. No display tables, signs, etc. can extend past the front line of vendor sites.)

Electrical Service Needed:
Insurance: I agree to provide Chesapeake Jubilee my certificate of insurance with agreement, if selected. Insurance must include bodily injury or death $500,000 and property damage $100,000.
Appearance: Describe, as fully as possible, the appearance of your concession, and product uniqueness, if applicable. Please email drawings, pictures, and sketches to director@chesapeakejubilee.org.

Health Department: All applicants are subject to the rules and regulations of the Chesapeake Health Department. Inspections will occur prior and during the festival events. For more details see our website www.chesapeakejubilee.org.
All Vendors are required to check in upon arrival on site and will be escorted to their assigned site by a Jubilee Committee Member.
