Welcome to JCUA's Or Tzedek Organizing Fellowship Application!
The Or Tzedek Community Organizing Fellowship is a program for high school students who are passionate about social justice and want to build the knowledge and skills to create systemic local change.

Cohort members will strengthen an understanding of social justice and systems of oppression from a root-cause perspective; build skills to organize for social change in coalition with communities across Chicago; strengthen Jewish identity and values; and create a justice-oriented community with other high school students across Chicagoland.

Or Tzedek Program Details:
  • Two workshops a month on Sunday afternoons at Sketchpad (4411 N. Ravenswood Ave.)
  • One additional action item a month (schedule and options will vary)
  • One Shabbaton weekend retreat in late January- early February
  • Cohort members receive a stipend for participation
Applications are still being accepted on a rolling basis, pending available slots in the cohort. You should expect to speak via phone or Zoom with JCUA's Youth Leadership Coordinator, Talia Yaari, before enrolling in the program. If you have any questions, please email Talia at talia@jcua.org.
