Bead Weaving: Deerskin Bag
Marcie McIntire is a traditional artist specializing in floral-based Ojibwe beadwork and operates her own gallery, Ningii-Ozhitoomin Art Gallery, in Grand Portage, Minnesota. Join Marcie at the 1854 Treaty Authority Duluth-office and try your hand at bead weaving! This project is based on traditional amulet-style bag design Marcie learned from her grandmother, and is intended to be worn as a necklace. Participants will complete and embellish a 2"x2" lined deerskin bag in a lacy-netted bead design. All materials are included.

Space is limited to 10 participants. 10 years old and up.
