Thank you for your interest in competing in this year's Illinois Bear & Critter Contest. The Illinois Bear & Critter Contest will be held in Chicago, IL from September 24th to September 27th. Commitments for the contestants and the contest as a whole are expected to begin by no later than 7pm on Thursday, September 24th.

The Illinois Bear Pack Collective is committed to creating inclusive, affirming, and non-judgmental queer spaces. We believe that our community is strongest when it reflects the full diversity of the people within it.

We explicitly welcome and encourage individuals of all genders and forms of gender expression to compete for any category or title. Categories are not restricted by gender, and applicants are invited to compete in the space that best reflects their identity, experience, and connection to the community.

We are seeking contestants who not only embody their chosen category, but who actively contribute to their communities through participation, service, and representation. This application is designed to help us understand your lived experience, your connection to your community, and the values you would bring as a contestant and potential titleholder.
