The talk will be held in a hybrid-format (in-person and Zoom) on Thursday, November 30th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower (101 College Street, Room 4-204). Dr. Valli Subasri's Biography
Dr. Valli Subasri is an AI Scientist at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre where she leverages artificial intelligence for precision medicine in cardiovascular diseases. Previously, she completed her PhD at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children where she used germline multi-omics and machine learning to understand the clinical heterogeneity of paediatric cancers and developed risk prediction models for personalized patient management. During that time, she also worked at the Vector Institute building guardrails to ensure the responsible deployment of clinical AI models. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes through the use of AI-enabled precision medicine technologies, in a safe and responsible manner.
