Take a dog to one of our weekend adoption day sites a minimum of once every 2 months, that's only 1 time every 60 days (of course you can always do more days). You will go through training first at 9:30 on Saturday mornings to be certified. Then on your assigned day will pick up an adorable doggie and transport to our adoption site. Most adoption days are from 11-2pm or 12-3pm. The pooch will have to be picked up 1 hour before the event. Our dogs are usually very strong so please do not volunteer unless you can handle strong dogs.

This is a core opportunity at EASEL. Lots of different things to do at the shelter. Start by shadowing a senior volunteer. Some activities are socializing cats, supervising the cat room, checking references from potential cat adopters, showing kittens, coordinating fosters, running some off-site events, checking kitties after work. Training is supplied.  You really gotta love cats and the team you will work with is phenomenal. Are you over 18 years of age and will you commit to 2 days a month?

This is a wonderful opportunity to love on some kittens. We have a lot of kittens in the spring and summer, too young for adoption. The best way to make them adoptable is to be in a loving home until they are of age to be adopted. Training is provided and there is always someone to help guide you. The kittens are adorable!!! A great short-term commitment to help some loving kitties
