Iris TAMIris Tam is a Town Planner by profession. She started her career in the Government and subsequently ran a private planning consultant firm for 16 years before joining the Urban Renewal Authority in 2006. She was the Managing Director when she left the URA in 2015. In the past two years, she has been offering professional advices on town planning and property development. Ms Tam was the President of HKIP in 1995-97 and she has always been active in public services related to public housing and the environment in particular. She is now a member of the Subsidized Housing Committee of the HK Housing Authority.
Kim Ching CHAN, Ha Chi YEUNG and Brian WONGKim Ching CHAN, Ha Chi YEUNG, and Brian WONG are researchers from the Liber Research Community. They have been paying close attention to the land issue in Hong Kong and pushing forward the reform of land policies and the system for many years. In the past years, the Liber Research Community has been endeavoring to empower research on local policies, and establish a research community that cares about land, housing, planning and many other categories of public policies.
Augustine NGAugustine NG graduated from the University of Hong Kong (1977) with a B. A. (Hon.) degree; and from the University of Liverpool (1983) with a Master degree in Civic Design. He was former Assistant Director of Planning, and Government Town Planner to the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR; and former Chief Executive Officer of the Estate Agents Authority.
CK LAUCK LAU is an International Director of JLL and the head of Valuations Advisory Services in Asia. He has over thirty years of real estate experience in Hong Kong, China and across Asia.
Mee Kam NGMee Kam NG is the Vice-Chairman of Department of Geography and Resource Management, Director of the Urban Studies Programme, and Associate Director of the Institute of Future Cities and the Hong Kong Institute of Asian Pacific Studies at CUHK. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (UK) and of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners, a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and an academic advisor of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design. Her research has won the Hong Kong Institute of Planners’ Awards six times and the Association of European Schools of Planning’s Best Published Paper Award in 2015.
