Book of Remembrance 2017/5778

A beautifully printed Book of Remembrance is published and distributed at the Yom Kippur Memorial Service. It provides an opportunity for members to make a meaningful memorial in honor of our departed loved ones. In addition, the names of those who have died since last Yom Kippur, October 12, 2016 are recalled for blessing during the Memorial Service.

Congregants who wish to have names included in the Book of Remembrance are invited to do so. It is a long-standing custom in Jewish life to do this through a contribution to the synagogue. While the suggested amount is $18.00 (signifying “chai” - life) per name, contributions of any amount are welcome. Contributions to the Book of Remembrance are tax deductible.
