Thank you for your interest in joining the CHGS team!
The Center was founded in 1997, and has been involved in preserving the memory of mass violence around the world and supporting the work of scholars and students since then.
The Center's current project are focused on the collection of oral histories from local communities that have experienced genocidal violence, including the Cambodian, Armenian, and Jewish communities. A primary responsibility of a student worker will be to conduct the interviews, which may require some travel or evening work. Other responsibilities include assistance with transcribing and editing the interviews, and help with research for educational resources for teachers.
In addition to this work, the Center also hosts several events throughout the year and is involved in other projects you may be called upon to help with.
We're currently hiring two undergraduate students for 10 to 15 hours a week at $16.00 an hour.
