Who are these courses for?
This course is designed for non-final year registrars, Parkinson's nurses within the first 18 months of post, pharmacists, clinical fellows and clinical lecturers. The course is set as one module over two days with one residential evening.
What will the course involve?
The Parkinson’s Academy offers a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals to receive expert training in Parkinson’s disease which will advance understanding of Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders through taught sessions. Find out more by watching the Academy videos at
How is the course taught?
The course is taught through a range of learner-centred methods including formal lectures, interactive workshops, and projects. Course alumni will also be invited to attend other activities like roadshows and can contact us for advice from the Academy faculty. These MasterClass programmes have previously been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK for 13 category 1 (external) CPD credits. Please note that the credits are subject to approval of the final programme.
What will it cost?
The course will cost £425 + VAT which includes all meeting materials. Delegates are responsible for their own travel costs. The course is part funded and accommodation and food are covered by a separate unrestricted educational grant. The course will start at 10.30am and finish by 3.45pm on the last day. If you have some distance to travel the Academy may be able to provide a reduction in accommodation costs for the night before the course; please advise us on your application if this will be required to discuss further.
