Happy Habitats (1st and 2nd)
Happy Habitats is a 2 ½ to 3- hour educational program conducted by park staff at West Beach, Deception Pass State Park. Specifically designed to support 1st Grade and 2nd Grade Next Generate Science Standards, Happy Habitats focuses on, exploring the diversity of animals at Deception Pass State Park as well as understanding the components of a habitat.
Throughout the program, participants will explore the question “What animals live at Deception Pass State Park and how do they survive?”. Participants will go on an animal track scavenger hunt, investigate skulls, play educational games and much more as they enhance their understanding of the diversity of wildlife within the park.
