The undersigned artist (“Artist”) and Lupercalia Art Society, LLP. (“Lupercalia Art Society”) enter into this Agreement for Artist to exhibit and sell his or her work in the Lupercalia Art Society gallery (the “Gallery”). The terms and conditions of this Agreement are as follows: 1. A minimum number of pieces of art (ready for hanging or display) will be submitted by Artist to the Lupercalia Art Society Art Jury (“Jury”) for approval.* The minimum number of original pieces of art required will be determined by the Lupercalia Art Society Art Committee (the “Committee”) from time to time based on the estimated exhibit space available in the Gallery for Artist’s work. Artist’s wall or panel exhibit may include high-quality framed prints (subject to Jury approval) not to exceed 20% of the allocated wall space, as it may vary from time to time. The minimum exhibit space for hanging art is 40 sq. ft. (4 ft. wide x 10 ft. high) of interior wall space, or one free-standing display panel space (4 ft. wide x 8 ft. high), in the Committee’s discretion. The minimum exhibit space for other art is 15 sq. ft. of floor space. 2. Artist may also have high-quality unframed matted prints of his or her accepted art and other related materials for sale in the Gallery during the term of this Agreement, subject to Lupercalia Art Society’s prior approval. 3. Selected pieces of Artist’s art will be displayed within the Gallery in the manner and location as deemed appropriate in the Committee’s sole discretion. Art and other Items sold in the Gallery during the term of this Agreement will be subject to a commission agreed upon between artist and the Gallery to be retained by Lupercalia Art Society from sales proceeds due Artist,. The net amount due Artist (after deductions for commission and credit card fees) will be remitted monthly, on or before the 15th day of the month for sales during the immediately preceding month. 7. Lupercalia Art Society will collect and pay the applicable sales taxes on the Artist’s work sold during the term of this Agreement 8. The Gallery will prepare labels for the Artist’s work for consistency throughout the Gallery. 9. The Artist will have the option to participate in the hanging of his or her art in the Gallery on a day and time agreed upon in advance by the Committee and the Artist. 10. Insurance on works in the Gallery are the responsibility of the Artist. Although Lupercalia Art Society will take all reasonable care, the organization will not assume responsibility for loss or damage of work. 11. Artist will attend the public reception for the opening of his or her exhibit. 12. Artist is responsible for generating public interest in his or her work in the Gallery through personal email and Artist’s website and/or social media. 13. Lupercalia Art Society will advertise and promote Artist’s work in the Gallery to Lupercalia Art Society’s members, the media and other parties through Lupercalia Art Society’s website, Facebook and email. 14. Artist will promptly remove his or her art from the Gallery at the expiration of this Agreement, unless the term hereof is extended by mutual agreement. 15. All works submitted for approval must be framed or gallery wrapped (if paintings), priced and ready for hanging or display (no saw tooth hangers are accepted). *Photos of Artist’s work submitted to the Jury, along with an inventory form containing title, artist name, dimensions, optional identification number, and price shall be sent to LupercaliaArts@gmail.com.
