The University at Mānoa is partnering with the United States Indo-Pacific Command on a Mentoring Program for students interested in future high-paid, on-island career opportunities in the Intelligence Community. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure and mentorship directly from the people who do intelligence work every day for the Federal Government. Over the course of this program, students will gain exposure to how the US Government and its partners in the Asia-Pacific region use intelligence to protect regional and national interests.

The INDOPACOM-UHM Mentoring Program for Intelligence is offered to students throughout UH Mānoa.

Requirements: US Citizenship and enrollment for three credits in the College of Social Sciences Internship course, SOCS 489-001 (Hasager, CRN 83708) for the Fall 2021 semester.

The INDOPACOM-defined mentoring program activities include seminars; mentoring with Intelligence Professionals; research for and presentation of a paper on an intelligence topic chosen jointly by the student and the mentor; and an Intelligence Community panel presentation. The framing course work includes individual meetings with the instructor; a confidential learning journal; a literature review; and a brief final reflection paper.

This is a unique, competitive, and prestigious opportunity.
