As we face the twin transitions of climate and digital transformation, the role of civil society has never been more crucial: not only limited to raising awareness, but in reality, as key agents of transformation. The workshop “Beyond Awareness: How Civil Society Shapes the Green and Smart City” will showcase real-life examples from across Europe, highlighting how communities co-create solutions for greener, smarter cities. Participants will explore urban sustainability challenges, dive into innovative EU projects like BUILDSPACE and GreenScape, and engage in interactive discussions and breakout sessions. A marketplace of initiatives will also offer a closer look at practical tools and platforms driving local green and smart transitions.
