A. Grant information
Participating in the Alabama State Meetings provides an opportunity to acquire and exchange information and is also an excellent way to begin building a personal network of contacts in the field of international education. AAIE is pleased to offer travel grants to the individuals attending the 2020 state conference.

Grant Amounts/Limitations/Parameters
AAIE Executive Board is awarding travel grants for the AAIE conference for the conference registration fee and travel up to $100 (total maximum award of $160). There are 7 full conference and 1 student half-day registrations available.

Though all conference registrants are welcome to apply, special consideration will be given to individuals from community colleges or smaller 4-year institutions, individuals attending AAIE for the first time, and/or conference volunteers. Recipients will be recognized at the State Meeting.

B. Eligibility
Travel grants are intended to assist individuals who face the constraints in finding travel support. Awards will be made based upon the following criteria in order of priority:

o Quality of responses to the questions on the application
o Expense estimate with breakdown of costs
o Conference Participant Status:
o Community College staff
o High School staff
o First-time attendant
o Volunteer
o Student
o Demonstrated Need
o Participants from Alabama who require overnight travel
