2025 Inkster Summer Magic Paddle Trip & Health Fair  (Presented by the Inkster Task Force and MetroParks)
Sign up for FREE ADMISSION to the Friends of the Rouge Inkster Summer Magic Paddle Trip and Health Fair presented by MetroParks on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00am - 1:00pm at  Colonial Park, in Inkster, MI. 

Friends of the Rouge will host a paddle trip beginning at the Venoy Dorsey Park and ending at Colonial Park in Inkster, on Lower Rouge River Water Trail. MetroParks is partnering with Friends of the Rouge to provide free kayak rental up to 20 paddle trip registrants. Vendors will be on hand to provide valuable resources information and giveaways. The Wayne State University Mobile Health Unit will be on hand to provide free health screenings. 

Paddling Tips
All participants are required to wear a personal floatation deceive.  It is also recommended that paddlers bring a change of clothes, just in case you take an unexpected dip.  Lastly, we recommend that you bring a dry bag to store electronic devices or snacks.
