Presenter Biography
Tim Brzezinski is a full time Independent Mathematics Education Consultant, Mathematics Teacher, and Accredited GeoGebra Trainer and Author (Brzezinski Math). He is a former full time High School Mathematics Teacher (Berlin High School, CT) w/15 years experience (2002 - 2017) and part time Mathematics Instructor (Central Connecticut State University) w/15 years experience (2002 - 2017). Tim facilitates active and engaging professional development workshops for Mathematics Teachers and Administrators worldwide.

Workshop Agenda
In this full day workshop, we will be actively exploring & discussing strategies through which teachers can foster dynamic student-centered learning and formative assessment not just once-in-a-while, but on a continual, daily, ongoing basis. We will explore several math apps (GeoGebra Graphing Calculator and Geometry, Desmos Graphing Calculator and Geometry, Graspable Math… even PhotoMath!) with respect to engaging students and creating student-driven and student-led differentiated, discovery-based learning environments. We will explore many of the tools in GeoGebra's 3D Calculator and will use these tools to create various constructions. In addition, we will use Augmented Reality on our mobile phones and tablets to virtually test the accuracy of our 3D models. Finally, through this exploratory process, participants will discover how they, in turn, can have their students build within this powerful app so as to naturally lead to many “aha!” moments throughout various middle and secondary math curricula.
