MN 4-H State Fair Show Committee Application
Responsibility:
To represent your species area while serving as an active member. The 4-H State Fair Show Committee has the responsibility of providing the necessary direction and support so that 4-H animal science state shows and educational opportunities meet the needs of youth and adults.
Selection:
Committee members will be selected from submitted applications on an as needed basis. Selections will be completed by September 30. All adults selected must have completed the 4-H Volunteer Screening process by December 1. Please note: local educators may be contacted to serve as a reference for applicants.
Time Commitment:
Annual renewal of adult and youth members. The state show committee groups meet formally three times a year - early August as a whole group prior to the Minnesota State Fair, early October as a whole group to evaluate the 4-H animal science shows at the state fair and begin updating new year’s documents, and early December in leadership team groups to finalize species information documents. Committee members attend the Minnesota State Fair’s 4-H livestock weekend to lead and support species shows. Committees may also meet informally to complete individual business as necessary.

Applications may be completed online or submitted to Sharon Davis, Extension Educator & Animal Science Director, 1420 Eckles Ave, Suite 475, St Paul, MN 55108 davis051@umn.edu
