A Board term with Camp Quest, Inc. is 3 years in length. Are you able to commit to serving a three year Board term?
*
If selected for board services, how many hours per MONTH could you realistically devote to Camp Quest Inc. board projects?
*
Minimum time commitment expected of board members is roughly 5 hours/month (~1 hour/week).
I am available to participate by phone in monthly board meetings that may last up to 2 hours.
*
This is expected of all board members.
I am available to participate in at least one committee, including by attending phone meetings 1-2 times/month and by completing tasks in between meetings.
*
This is expected of all board members.
Board members will be expected to make a “personally significant” financial contribution to the organization every year (Camp Quest, Inc. should ideally be one of the top charities you donate to every year). Are you able to do this?
*
What qualifies as "personally significant" ranges from member to member and can be a small annual donation, covering costs to get to CQ events, a monthly contribution or a large gift depending on the individual situation. This is not meant to be a barrier to serving as a Board Member. Grant applications often ask what percentage of a Board has donated to the organization to ensure internal investment prior to the foundation/corporation committing funding.
Board members must take a leadership role in fundraising- identifying, cultivating, and asking donors, grant writing, thanking donors for their support, etc. In what ways are you willing to commit to fundraising for Camp Quest, Inc.?
