Full Day Kindergarten 2026-27 Survey to Start the Registration Process

Earlier this fall, the Londonderry School Board approved the planning to start Full Day Kindergarten in this year's upcoming budget process. A simple majority of the Town will need to vote to support Full Day Kindergarten (at least 50.1%) in a separate Warrant Article on the March 10th 2026 Town Vote. If a simple majority of voters approve, we will be able to start Full Day Kindergarten in late August 2026 in our elementary schools.

To help us understand how families will navigate our upcoming Kindergarten registration process and the Town Vote on Full Day Kindergarten, we have created this simple survey to understand your potential plans.

We ask that any families whose children are eligible for Kindergarten next year fill out this survey first to help us understand how we can help you in the upcoming registration process. We will start Kindergarten Registration on Nov. 5th 2025, about three months earlier than normal, to help us better plan for the upcoming school budget.

If Full Day Kindergarten is approved on March 10th 2026 (at least 50.1% support), we will start Full Day Kindergarten in each neighborhood school (South School, Matthew Thornton, and North School) in late August 2026.

Group 1: Registering for Kindergarten Now Regardless of the Outcome of the Town Vote on Full Day Kindergarten

This March, voters can approve Full Day Kindergarten if a simple majority approve a separate warrant article on Full Day Kindergarten. A simple majority of support (at least 50.1%) would allow Full Day Kindergarten to start in late August 2026 at South School, Matthew Thornton, and North School. We want to understand how many families will make plans to register in the school district regardless of the outcome of the vote in March.
