This policy applies to religious educational programs at Masjid AlSalam in Spring, TX.  Examples of religious programs are Weekend Islamic School, Nazirah, Hifz, Hadith, Tafsir and Arabic language.  Houston Peace Academy and Scouting are examples of programs that are not included in this policy.

Exemptions
Imams, Teachers, and paid staff along with their spouses and children are exempt from paying educational fees at Masjid AlSalam.

Need Based Scholarships
Masjid AlSalam uses Sadaqah to fund Need Based Scholarships based on the Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) stated on the latest available Federal tax return from the applicants.  Applicants must submit a copy of their tax return to the Masjid Administration Office to obtain a Need Based Scholarship.

Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) thresholds for Need Based Scholarships
- For family of up to 2, less than $40K is free. 50% discount for less than $50K
- For family of up to 4, less than $50K is free. 50% discount for less than $60K
- For family of up to 6, less than $60K is free. 50% discount for less than $70K
- For family of up to 8, less than $70K is free. 50% discount for less than $80K

Discounts
Masjid AlSalam offers a 10% discount for Multiple Family Members enrolled in the same program from the same family.  For example, the original cost for 3 children is $400.  Applying a 10% discount reduces the cost to $360.  Applicants must contact the Masjid Administration Office to claim the Multiple Family Member discount before paying online.

Masjid AlSalam offers a 20% discount for ISGH members.  Applicants must provide proof of membership to the Masjid Administration Office to claim the ISGH Membership discount before paying online.

There are discounts for Needs Based Scholarship, Multiple Family Members and ISGH Membership.   Applicants may combine up to two discounts.  Applicants may not combine more than two discounts.


Masjid AlSalam limits the maximum fees paid by a family to $500 in any month.  After paying $500 in a month, any member of the family may participate in additional programs at no additional cost.

Payments
All payments for education fees at Masjid AlSalam must be made through the Kindful online portal.  https://isghchampions.kindful.com.  The finance team will provide a unique code for each class.
Masjid AlSalam will only accept online payments for educational fees.
Teachers will not accept payments.
Cash and checks deposited in the donation box will NOT be credited.

Applicants must pay online to complete the registration and guarantee a seat in the desired class.

Refunds
Refunds will be prorated.  The Masjid Administration Office will process all requests for refunds.

Privacy
Masjid AlSalam only collects the information you choose to provide, and it is process it with your consent.  The Masjid only requires the minimum amount of personal information that is necessary to fulfill the purpose of your interaction with the Masjid.   The Masjid does not sell your personal information to third parties.
