Parent/Guardian Rostering Input
All teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators are providing input in an effort to get a holistic view of each student in order to develop balanced rosters and set each and every student up for success as they enter our building for the next school year. We truly believe that parents and guardians are important partners so we want to extend the opportunity to you to provide us with some input as well.  We believe and have confidence in each one of our staff members.  We know that they are capable of providing a high quality educational experience for every student.  We take many, many factors into consideration when rostering. With that in mind, we want to be clear that we are asking for input and not classroom or teacher requests. Input that includes teacher requests will not be considered. Please do not reach out to teachers and ask them to take requests into consideration when they develop balanced rosters. Parent input will be considered in the next phase of rostering after balance classroom rosters are recommended by teachers.  

If you would like to provide us with input for consideration that is specific only to your student, please fill out this Google Form.  Your responses will be viewed by school administrators, counselors, and our instructional coach.  If you have confidential information that you feel you need to relay pertaining to your student’s well-being (physical, mental, social-emotional) and don't feel comfortable sharing it online, please reach out directly to an administrator or school counselor. Please fill out a new form for each of your students.  Rosters will not be set or released until August.

Remember, please only provide us information that is specific and pertinent to your student for consideration when rostering.  This could include background information, history, traumatic experiences, qualities or traits you are looking for in your student's next teacher, or other dynamics that you believe we should be aware of.  We believe in and have confidence that your student will be successful with any teacher in our building and we work hard to ensure that students have similar educational experiences through our teaming approach at Mary Welsh Elementary.
