Application Process. Submit your PTSO Grant application by completing the Google Form below. If you have any questions, please email Grants@Jackson-ReedPTSO.org
Professional Development: The PTSO Grants Committee will consider requests for professional development that is not offered by DCPS. The PTSO is generally not able to offer tuition reimbursements for classes that are part of graduate or certificate programs. Staff seeking PD support should address in their application how they will share their PD learning with other staff within their departments and their students.
Payment/Reimbursement Procedures. Please provide a detailed budget to the extent possible. Notice of your award will be sent to your email address. We prefer to pay vendors directly. It is the teacher’s responsibility to provide an invoice and set up any orders for supplies or services (if we are paying a vendor directly) or a receipt confirming the purchase of goods or services (if we are reimbursing a teacher) to the PTSO Grants Committee.
The PTSO Grants Committee will review the materials submitted for accuracy and completeness before providing them to the treasurer for funds disbursement.
You must allow for two weeks from the time of grant approval to payment provided to you or your vendor. If your funding request is time sensitive, you must indicate this in your application – not after the grant has been awarded.
You may be asked to provide the PTSO Grants Committee with a brief assessment of the success or impact your activity or event, which will be used both to encourage other teachers to apply for this resource and to encourage the parents to continue their contributions to the grant program and the PTSO.
Travel Requests: At this time, travel expenses will not be approved.
