We're excited to begin working on our plans for this year, and we have a few exciting projects in the works. Mainly, we're working on these things:- We're working with the DA's Office of Philadelphia on a program to showcase Computer Science to students who are at risk for being truant. This means that these are students who aren't showing up to school because they don't get why it's important. We worked with them last year and are revamping the program. We'll be hosting it on campus on Wednesdays, so no traveling will be required. We're looking for volunteers for the event as well as curriculum help!- We're working on some more "seminars" like our How to Make Your Own Website last year. Nothing concrete is being planned at this point, but we'd love some ideas (and help in executing)!- We're also potentially on expanding our DA program with some grants and new partnerships we're working on. These may be held in another date or time, but would be of a similar concept (promoting and teaching CS). Similar to the DA program, we'd need some assistance for these events in addition to planning and curricula.
We're very excited about these programs this year, but we need your help to make this a reality!
