Welcome to the Ivy Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! As a parent/guardian of an Ivy student, you are automatically a member of our PTO. 

There are so many fun ways to become part of your child’s education and experience here at Ivy. No matter your interest, skills, and schedule, there’s a place for you to get involved!

If you would like to volunteer this school year, please remember to complete the ACPS Volunteer Form. 

Once you submit this form, a PTO board member or committee chairperson will contact you and provide more information. Thank you for joining us in supporting our children and school community!

Fun on the Field General Support

Assist with set up, refreshments, and general oversight as directed by chairperson

A variety of opportunities to help with set up and book fair sales during book fair week.

Dine to Donate Chairperson

Lead efforts to organize two local restaurant nights for the Ivy school community. 

Timeframe: We will have one Fall (Oct-Nov), and one Spring (March-April) event.

Girls on the Run Coaches

We are looking for 3 coaches to lead this incredible national program for girls in grades 3-5 (Spring 2027).

Practice is held two days a week after school.

Each season (fall/spring), the session is approximately 10 weeks long.

School Garden Support

Assist with maintaining the newly constructed planters outside 3-5th grade classrooms. Typically one fall and one spring date.

Art Print Volunteer

This is an opportunity to volunteer within your student’s classroom. No art experience is needed and materials and training are provided to you. This role can be shared. Once a month during school hours. Please indicate teacher below

Room Parent
Act as liaison between the teacher and classroom families. Plan and assist with classroom parties/activities. Coordinate teacher appreciation gifts. This role may be shared with another parent.

Help capture candid photos of PTO events.  No experience is required and the role can be shared.
