Team AfSU (Undergraduate/Postgraduate) Applications
Dear applicant,

University students are at the heart of AfSU, and lead the work we do as a Union. 

Our aim is to support the academic and professional development of students at university by providing them with regular mentorship from an AfSU Trustee or Vetted Professional. The mentorship we provide is regular, and tailored to your specific career interests and ambitions. Our mentors can support you in achieving your best across a range of areas, including both your academic progression, and your career planning/development. 

Our mentors are all vetted, and are highly experienced in their respective fields. All of our mentors are either professionals who are currently working in industry, or are academics working/pursuing higher-level degrees (e.g. Master's or PhD).

We are able to support students across a range of subject areas, including the Social Sciences, Humanities, STEM, Medicine, Dentistry, Finance, Economics, and the Creative Arts.

By joining, you will be gaining access to other benefits too asides from mentorship. These include:
  • Being part of Team AfSU, our network of vetted university students who are committed to developing both themselves and their community. 
  • Providing unique work experience, insight days, and internship opportunities available exclusively to AfSU members. 
  • Receive scholarship opportunities and provide mentorship for how to win these opportunities on a 1-1 basis. 
  • Facilitate access to the wider British-Muslim community across numerous networks which we are proudly part of.
