2026 Soil ID Course EOI Form
Are you eager to dig some pits and hand texture some soils? If so, fill out the form below to express your interest for the PRSSS 2026 Soil ID Course, happening June 4th to 6th in Kelowna, BC - Syilx land. Please note that additional days for travelling may be needed as the course will run approximately from 8AM to 4PM each day.

The course will be lead by local soil experts and we will explore a variety of soils in this beautiful region. Participants will learn to classify soils based on the Canadian System of Soil Classification (CSSC). Additionally, this year’s field course will include an Agricultural Land Capability Tour led by BCIA agrologists on the final day. Participants who are interested in attending only the last day of the course can register directly through the BCIA website. Professionals are eligible to claim PDH hours for attending this course.

Please note that completing this form does not guarantee you a spot. Space is limited to 20-25 participants. If more participants are interested, priority will be given to residents that live in the area and Indigenous community members. The course fee is $100 for students, $200 for industry professionals, and free for Indigenous participants. Please note the following:
  • Participants must be a 2026/27 PRSSS member (2026 AGM attendants are current members)
  • Accommodation (i.e. camping) costs are not included in the registration fee
  • Camping fees are anticipated to be  $10-20 per night (location TBD)
  • Course fees include one night group dinner (when attending all 3 days)
  • Participants are responsible for the rest of their own meals for the duration of the trip
We will email all interested participants by Sunday April 26, 2026 to let you know if you’ve been selected or waitlisted. If selected participants do not confirm their attendance by May 3, waitlisted individuals will be contacted in the order applications were received.
