The HOMEY Youth Leadership Program’s mission is to educate, organize and empower young people ages 13 to 24 years old. Of the many indigenous Mesoamerican languages, the word “Kalpulli”, in the Nahuatl language, literally means “large house”.

Kalpulli’s were neighborhood groups organized to serve the community. HOMEY's Kalpulli aim is to decolonize and educate ourselves about our culture and his/herstory, promote cultural activities, and watch over our community. It is through various indigenous traditions of resistance and resilience of over 500 years that we carry on those legacies to fight for justice at HOMEY!!!
