Kalpulli’s were neighborhood groups organized to serve the community. HOMEY's Kalpulli aim is to decolonize and educate ourselves about our culture and his/herstory, promote cultural activities, and watch over our community. It is through various indigenous traditions of resistance and resilience of over 500 years that we carry on those legacies to fight for justice at HOMEY!!!
CRITERIA AND APPLICATION PROCESS:1.We are seeking committed youth and young adults (13-24 years old), all genders and sexualities welcomed, interested in learning about culture, social justice, and making a change in the hood.2. We will contact you with a short interview to find out more about you and why you want to be a part of HOMEY.3. Applicants accepted will then be placed into our Kalpulli Leadership Program.
