Kalpulli Youth Leadership Application
Please take your time to respond to the questions thoughtfully. We enjoy reading your thoughtful responses! Be yourself!

The HOMEY Youth Leadership Program’s mission is to educate, organize and empower young people (ages 13 to 18 years old). “Kalpulli”, in the Nahuatl (one of the many indigenous languages in Mesoamerica) means “large house”.

HOMEY's Kalpulli is where we gather to decolonize and educate ourselves about our culture and our stories, to promote cultural activities, and watch over our community. It is through various indigenous traditions of resistance and resilience of over 500 years that we carry on those legacies to fight for justice at HOMEY!

CRITERIA AND APPLICATION PROCESS:

1.We are seeking committed youth and young adults (13-18 years old) interested in learning about culture, social justice, and making a change in the hood. All genders and sexualities welcomed!

2. We will contact you for a short conversation to find out more about you and why you want to be a part of HOMEY.

3. Join us for orientation on Wednesday March, 10th from 4-6pm over Zoom (the link will be emailed to you)
