Decolonial Action for Global North College Students
I'm designing an Intro to Degrowth course for university undergraduates in the USA. Please share your insights into how a college course in the Global North can involve students in actively helping to decolonize the Global South. This questionnaire is divided into broad topics with an "other" at the end.

Note: courses at US public universities are not (officially) allowed to engage in illegal actions/civil disobedience or support specific candidates.

Fighting fascism at home. How can a college course fight fascism? Participate in initiatives to de-radicalize white nationalists? Participate in community conversations? Share information?
Assessing the university's role in colonialism. How can a college course hold the university more accountable for its role in exploitative, extractivist colonial practices?
Amplifying messaging. How can a college course help voice decolonial demands in the Global North? What organizations can we partner with to get information on ongoing campaigns and where/when strategic amplification is needed?
Promoting "Fair Commodity Chains." Are you are aware of initiatives, apps, etc. that share information not just about "fair trade" brands but whole commodity chains so that consumers/activists can support the least unjust options? How can a college course help support these efforts?
Grassroots Redistribution of Wealth. While it is no substitute for reparations or debt cancellation, some cultural change and local benefit might occur through non-profits encouraging financial contributions to the Global South, not as "charity" but as movement toward a just relationship. (This paradigm is similar to settlers paying voluntary "rent" for living on Indigenous land.) Are you aware of such efforts? Are they worth pursuing?
Fundraising. If a course were allowed to engage in fundraising, what organizations/initiatives should funds support to have the biggest impact on decolonization efforts?
What other ideas/observations do you wish to share about how a Global North college course can support decolonization?
