Medieval Academy of America Graduate Student Committee Mentoring Program
The Graduate Student Committee of the Medieval Academy of America would like to invite you to participate in the GSC Mentoring Program. Those who would like to receive mentoring or serve as a mentor should register online using the form below. Theodore Chelis and Austin Powell will coordinate the exchanges for 2019. Please send questions to

The intent of the mentoring exchanges is for experienced scholars to welcome and briefly connect with newer members of the medievalist community (graduate students and early career scholars) and to help facilitate social and professional interaction. The GSC Mentoring Program offers students an additional opportunity to expand their professional network beyond their own academic institution. The initial extent of the commitment would be for mentees and mentors to meet for a brief conversation at an agreed-upon time during one of the conferences where we organize exchanges: MAA Annual Meeting, International Congress on Medieval Studies (Kalamazoo), International Medieval Congress (Leeds). The continuation of the mentoring relationship after the conference is at the discretion of the parties involved.

We will try to make the best match for participants based upon the information provided below. However, it may not be possible to meet all requests. Thank you for your understanding.
