In this course, you will learn how eco-gardening saves water and how you can increase water levels in the soil by using permaculture practices. The class is open to all: from landscaping experts to community members, students, property owners — any resident of Santa Clara County who wants to learn practical skills for tending outdoor living spaces. The course will be taught in English but bi-lingual Spanish and English speakers are especially welcome and one instructor is bi-lingual. The instructors will show you how to install water irrigation systems, including “laundry-to-landscape” methods, and create lush, resilient ecosystems in urban spaces for regenerative residential yards.
This group will meet in person for one weekend each month for four months from 9am to 5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays. There’s also an optional “meet and greet” kick-off gathering at the instructor’s permaculture garden in San Jose on Feb 3, 2023, 5:30 pm. Although students are recommended to attend all 4 weekends below to receive a certificate of completion, students may choose specific weekends to attend on the next page.
