Please note, we expect to receive many applications just like you; dedicated and passionate supporters who want to run in the TCS London Marathon for us.

Unfortunately, we are going to have to disappoint a large number of you as we simply do not have enough places to go around and are unable to purchase any more.

We will be in touch before the end of August 2025 and the registration fee won't be taken unless you are successful, and your place is confirmed.

By applying and on conformation of your place;

I confirm that I will run the 2026 TCS London Marathon (the "Event") on behalf of, and to raise sponsorship money for, Dravet Syndrome UK Charity (the "Charity"). I have read and understood the Charity fundraising legal/safety guidelines and these Terms & Conditions. I understand that I will be allocated this place to raise funds for the Charity, and confirm that I have pledged to raise at least £2,500 (excluding deposit and Gift Aid).

On being accepted of a place to take part in the Event, you will agree to:

- pay a deposit of £120 on confirmation of your place, which is non-refundable and non-transferable
- pledge to raise at least £2,500 in sponsorship for the Charity-
- train to a level that means you are capable of completing a marathon in a mass participation event within the time limit;
- andnotify your sponsors immediately if you are unable to participate in the Event for any reason (including ill health), and
- for monies collected by you in cash, where the sponsor has requested a refund, this must be returned by you to your sponsors directly
- for monies collected by you in cash, where the sponsor agrees the fundraising may be donated to the Charity in any event, you must ask the sponsor to countersign the sponsorship form to confirm their agreement and arrange for the donated monies to be paid to the Charity
- for monies collected through an online fundraising platform, or cash that has already been paid to the Charity, where the sponsor has requested a refund, please ask the sponsor to contact the Charity directly, otherwise these amounts will automatically be paid to/remain with the Charity.

The Charity agrees to provide:

one entry to take part in the Event; and fundraising support and Charity running vest

You are entering the Event of your own volition and therefore confirm that your general state of health and fitness is good and that you understand that any injury sustained by you during the Event or whilst training (which is not attributable to the Charity) is your own responsibility and not the responsibility of the Charity.

All funds raised for the Charity through your fundraising must be forwarded to the Charity by 7 October 2026. You can pay by card, cash, cheque or online. Please make cheques payable to Dravet Syndrome UK

To secure your place in the Event, we will be sharing your information with the race organisers London Marathon Events (https://www.tcslondonmarathon.com/more/privacy-policy). Your information will be used solely to register your participation in the Event and to communicate important race information to you. Your personal details will not be used or shared in any other capacity.

Photographs that we take on the day may be used under our legitimate interests in marketing materials such as newspapers, magazines, websites or broadcast outlets, on social media, on our website, in printed or online fundraising materials, and in fundraising and awareness films, as well as shared with participants from the Event. If you do not want your photography used in any of these ways please either tell the photographer on the day, or contact us on info@dravet.org.uk

The Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

If the Event is delayed or cancelled due to any situation beyond our control, e.g. adverse weather conditions, terrorism, pandemics, lockdown, civil emergencies, quarantines, travel restrictions, we will try to arrange for your place to be transferred to any rescheduled date, but cannot guarantee this will happen.

Please note that should the 2026 TCS London Marathon not take place on Sunday 26 April 2026, or the Charity be unable to secure a place for the Event, the Charity reserves the right not to grant you a place on the Event. In the case that a place has already been offered and registration fee paid for the Event, we will try to arrange for your place to be transferred to a future date, but cannot guarantee this will happen. In lieu of this, and only in this circumstance, the Charity will offer a refund for the registration fee.

These Terms & Conditions and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes of claims) arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions.
