In an attempt to bring our community and generations together off-line, the City of Daly City Library and Recreation Program invites you to our new program, matching up Senior and Youth pen pals to begin writing one another. Seniors will be able to pass on thoughts and experiences to a younger generation while engaging with their community. Youth will have the ability to practice expressing themselves in writing, off of a screen, share their lives and dreams, and see the world through the eyes of someone new. We hope this leads to life-long friendships!

Please complete this form to join. After being accepted into the program, Youth will write a letter or share art that will be delivered to their Senior. The Senior will then be able to respond to their Pen Pal. Both will write to a single address so personal information is protected. All correspondence will be reviewed to ensure that content is age-appropriate.

Youth participants, please be 7 years or older.

LIABILITY WAIVER & PHOTO RELEASE
 
• The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, the City of Daly City, its Council. Officers, Boards, Commissions, Agents and Employees for any loss or liability which results or is alleged to have resulted from participation in this program.
• The undersigned agrees to grant full permission to the City of Daly City to use my name and my child’s name and photographs, videos, motion pictures or recordings for any publicity without obligation or liability.  
• To the extent I and/or my child are participants of virtual programs, I acknowledge I am responsible for ensuring my child’s and/or my environment is safe/free from obstructions and that any use of third-party applications (Zoom, Microsoft Teams ,etc.) is done at our own risk.
