The purpose of this survey is to understand how post-docs at LBNL access and use IT systems and services. Responses will be used only to support this study and participation is voluntary.
How did you get the computer you most often use for work?
It was provided to me by my team or PI/Manager

Yes, it's a critical part of my research
Yes, but not that often. I just need to access a software program from a remote computer a few times a month
No, but I anticipate that I will need to gain remote access as my research progresses

If you do utilize remote desktop access, how effective is the connection system you're using right now?
It 's very inconvenient - I keep losing connection or getting kicked out of the system if someone else accesses it
It works but the connection is spotty at best

A mix of two or more OS for different tasks
If you had to change any IT equipment that you work with in your labs, how would you go about it?
I would tell my PI about it, and have them procure it for me
I'll contact my team's system administrator
