Special Circumstance Bid Application
The Special Circumstance Bid Application is to be used for Individual Events contestants who DID NOT ATTEND Regionals for various reasons such as medical emergency, death in the family, mandatory attendance for a scholarship opportunity or inclement weather. Bear in mind, colds/coughs, "family emergency", weddings etc will not be an acceptable rationale to grant an Special Circumstance Bid. Supporting documentation should be emailed to director@themifa.org after filing this form.

The IE Committee will first determine whether the application warrants a Special Circumstance. Then the application will be reviewed on the merit of the contestants invitational season record.

DEADLINE: If your regional event was held on a weekday (Mon-Fri), this form must be submitted within 24 hours of the conclusion of your regional event. If your regional event was held on a Saturday or Sunday, this form must be submitted by 5pm on the following Monday. The form must be filled out completely in order to be considered.

FEE: This application also requires a $25 non-refundable fee that can be paid online at www.themifa.org or via check payable to The MIFA (include check # and amount below). Checks can be mailed to: MIFA 30238 Spring River Dr., Southfield, MI 48076.
