Submission Form For the Website
On 26th January 2016, the Government of Sri Lanka established a Task Force to consult members of the public on the processes and mechanisms they would like the Government to put in place to seek truth and justice, ensure accountability for human rights violations and provide measures for redress.

At the September 2015 session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, and in the resolution co-sponsored by the government, the government has indicated that it is considering the following mechanisms to achieve the above.

o A Judicial mechanism with a Special Counsel
o A Truth, Justice, Reconciliation and Non-Recurrence Commission
o An Office for Reparations
o An Office of Missing Persons

The Task Force seeks your views and suggestions on these and other structures, processes and measures. In addition to this website the Task Force will conduct island-wide consultations.

In your submission via this website, it would be helpful if you would consider sharing your views in relation to some or all of the following areas in either Sinhala, Tamil or English. Please answer the questions of your choice. Please note that this submission is public and will be used to compile the report of the Consultation Task Force.
