Master Class: Fencer Performance Weekend. Speed, Agility, Planning and Goal Setting
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th January 2019 at the Fencing Institute Christchurch.

With the assistance of Fencing Institute Coach Martin Brill, we have Australian Coach Bill Ronald, to run his very successful Speed, Agility & Fitness sessions that he runs at Sydney University, with situational bouting and analysis. It will also include work on goal setting and planning, with information to develop your own training plan for the year. For Fencers and Coaches. (More details on the coaches at the end of this form).

Fencers and Coach Consolidation Week
Monday 21st – Friday 25th January 2019

Kick off preseason training and build on the weekend’s event. Coach Martin Brill and trainee Level 1 coaches will run fencer development training.

There will be two sessions a day. Choose your attendance:
I will be attending all morning and evening sessions for $250
I will be attending the following Mornings (9am-midday) $25 per session
I will be attending the following Evenings (6-9pm) $25 per session

Martin Brill French trained Maitre d'Armes (coach), is a New Zealand double Olympian (1984, 1988) in epee and a finalist (7th) in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.

Bill Ronald OAM (Order of Australia) is a well-known Sydney coach specialising in foil and epee. He is a former Australian National Foil and Epee Champion, Junior Foil Champion and State Champion. In 1976 he was also in the semi-finals of the National Opens in Men’s Sabre. He is a Commonwealth Games silver medallist in Foil and was a semi-finalist in Epee in the same year. He competed in the 1968 Mexico Olympics in Foil and reached top 8 (pools) in Epee and top 8 (pools) in the team epee. Bill then went on to be the Fencing Team Manager in the Montreal Olympics in 1976, Los Angeles in 1984, Seoul in 1988, SOCOG observer Atlanta in 1996. He was the Event Director of Fencing in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games and received the Australian Sports Medal for his efforts. In 2012 he was the associate Coach Modern Pentathlon, London Olympic Team. He is a past President of the Australian Fencing Federation.
