This workshop is for young people ages 8 to 16.

Mondays - Fridays, August 6-17, 2018
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Oakhurst STEAM Academy Auditorium, 4511 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28205
Location phone (980) 343-6482; Instructor phone contact (704) 537-3341

Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day -- except for Friday, August 10 -- by Charlotte/Mecklenburg Schools. On Friday, August 10, each student will need to bring his or her own lunch. The Foundation provides a simple, nutritious snack each morning at approximately 10:15 AM.

We work on acting, singing, stage movement and dance (including BASIC tap) in a creative workshop atmosphere. Our focus is on exploring and helping each student to develop artistically. We create our own script and incorporate existing music to present a showcase of our learnings to an invited audience at the end of our two weeks together.

The workshop is a project of The Earl Wentz and William Watkins Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in Charlotte, NC. For more info on the foundation, please go to www.ewwwf.org. Our instructors are musical theatre professionals whose credits include Broadway, Off-Broadway, international tours, regional theatre, cabaret, and appearances with major dance companies.
