REGISTRATION FORM: Raising Sexually Healthy Children (for parents of children ages 9-15)
Come get an overview of what you can do as an adult in a child’s life to help support and encourage healthy sexuality. Healthy sexuality includes: boundaries, consent, anatomy, relationships and pleasure. This MINI workshop will be fun and educational and you bring your values to the information. It will help you raise your comfort level with talking with your children about their amazing bodies and sexuality. We’ll draw from research and culture and touch on developmental stages and strategies with time for Q&A after. You’ll bring home printed resources to get yourself and your child comfortable with their sexual selves from birth to adulthood.
Always be one step ahead and attend both sessions (2/8/18 for birth-age 8 and 3/22/18 for ages 9-15) so you will be prepared for the jaw-dropping questions and issues that come up… earlier than you think!
Led by Jennifer Wiessner, a MSAD51 parent, LCSW, and certified sex therapist. She has a private therapy practice and facilitates Raising Sexually Healthy Children workshops across the state to educate parents on why talking to their kids and teens about sexuality is a healthy and normal part of life.
