The ALP Fund is fortunate to support The Mary White Educational Scholarship Fund, established to honor Mary’s dedication to the independent lodging industry and specifically to the nurturing of those interested and seeking education as aspiring innkeepers.
This scholarship fund allows qualified future independent lodging owners to join the Association of Lodging Professionals (ALP) with the membership fee waived for their introductory year. The value is $229 per new aspiring member.
Your qualification as a new aspiring member will provide these benefits:
- one year membership: aspiring category
- member e-newsletter and e-magazine
- access to educational webinars
- discounted member rate for any virtual and in-person Conference and Marketplace events
- access to national partnership(s) with companies offering products and services
The criteria to be considered for this scholarship is as follows:
- not a current member of ALP
- first time applicant
- not a property owner currently and at least 8 month from purchase
- prior experience or current employment in this niche of hospitality a plus
If you have purchased a property or are currently employed as a manager of an independent lodging property, please contact the Association of Lodging Professional about applicable membership categories.
For funding to be allocated to an applicant, please complete this brief questionnaire to be reviewed by the scholarship committee. You will be advised of your status within two weeks of application. Please note that a limited number of scholarships are available each year.
