Community School Improvement Network Application

Overview

Thank you for your interest in joining the Community School Improvement Network offered by the Capitol Area Regional Transformational Assistance Center (R-TAC). The Improvement Network is for school teams that are ready and committed to community school implementation. Participating teams will build capacity for community schools alongside their district and COE partners while addressing real issues in a collaborative learning environment. The application below is due by September 15, 2025. We will be in touch with each applicant by September 19, 2025.

The Improvement Network sessions will be offered virtually, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm on the following dates: September 24; October 15; November 12; January 14; February 11; March 11 and April 24.

 *These dates/times may shift by consensus if participants require different timing or dates. 

Eligible participants include:

  • Up to 10 school teams that have implementation grants and/or school teams interested in CS implementation. School teams of 3 or more people should include the Community School Coordinator and a combination of school administrators, community partners, teachers, student support staff, parents/caregivers and others who are key members of your community school team. 
  • District administrators from districts with participating schools

  • COE staff supporting community school implementation

Participating school teams will:
  • Learn the basics of whole child aligned community schools starting with Enabling Conditions
  • Define and wrestle together with problems of practice based on empathy interviews

  • Learn content around those problems 

  • Try out solutions 

  • Share learning across sites/problems

If selected, your team members commit to: 
  • Attend every session of the Improvement Network

  • Complete the tasks defined by your team in between sessions
