Historically neighbors in the Gulch have worked together to host a block party on the second Saturday in September. This event has often included: potluck/grill, food vendor, live music, raffle, dancing, kids activities, and more. Gulch-o-Rama 2025 needs you! Please indicate your interests, talents, availability, and resources below.

Are you interested in having a conversation about hosting Gulch-o-Rama on your block (or a block very near to your house)? We cannot host the party on a bus line. An ideal block has several neighbors who are excited about Gulch-o-Rama!

Day of support, including set-up, clean-up, or staffing a welcome table [2-4 hours]

Serve as emcee at the event (e.g., make annoucements, introduce live performers) [4 hours]

Provide a service/activity/table at the event (e.g., face painting, massage, art project, local business swag, etc.) [2-4 hours]

Identify or provide live entertainment (e.g., live music, magician, DJ) [time varies]

Identify food possibilities (e.g., vendor, in-kind donations, potluck strategy) [time varies]

Identify and lend games and activities (e.g., lawn games, kids activities, sprinkler, etc) [time varies]

Solicit local businesses to donate raffle prizes, in-kind support, and sponsorship [4+ hours]

Work on a core planning team of 4+ people to set the vision, apply for a permit, recruit/coordinate volunteers [periodic meetings and emails beginning in June]
