Hello Whitman Families,
If the the PAT strike continues through next week, SUN will resume classes starting Monday 11/6 at a new location. The location will be at the Brentwood Darlington Community Center at 7211 SE 62nd Ave, Portland, OR 97206 and the times will be 3pm-4:45pm. Please pick up your students before 5pm.
SUN will look different as we are sharing the space with other neighborhood schools and we will have to function at a limited capacity of only 20 students per day.
The following classes will continue as normal, but will be offered.
Monday/Wednesday: Portland Youth Choir and Hanging with Javi
Tuesday/Thursday Girls On the Run, Hip-hop dance, Soccer
If you need/want your child to participate in SUN during this time, please keep in mind the following.
- Our capacity is 20 students per day.
- The classes offered may look different and there is a possibility that we will merge with students from other neighborhood schools. However, we will do our best to offer games, art and a space for students to learn and have fun during this time.
- Unfortunately, there is no transportation so students will need to be dropped off at 3pm and picked up by 5:00pm
- Snacks will be provided instead of meals
- The Whitman Staff that will be joining us are Javi, Laura, Guillermo, Anjelica, Damien, Dulce. I will also be there.
- If you need SUN classes during the strike, please make sure to fill this form out at soon as possible, I will do my best to send email confirms and let you know if we reach capacity.
- As soon as the strike ends, SUN will resume as normal.

Hola familias de Whitman,
Si la huelga de PAT continúa hasta la próxima semana, SUN reanudará las clases a partir del lunes 6 de noviembre en una nueva ubicación. La ubicación será en el Centro Comunitario Brentwood Darlington en 7211 SE 62nd Ave, Portland, OR 97206 y el horario será de 3 p.m. a 4:45 p.m. Por favor recoja a sus estudiantes antes de las 5 p.m.
SUN se verá diferente ya que compartiremos el espacio con otras escuelas del vecindario y tendremos que funcionar con una capacidad limitada de solo 20 estudiantes por día.

Si necesita o desea que su hijo participe en SUN durante este tiempo, tenga en cuenta lo siguiente.
