GENERAL VOLUNTEERS (all year on an as needed basis) are needed for events such as Picture Day, Mills Madness Family Night, EOG Proctoring and other events.

SPIRIT WEAR (all year as needed) – Help us sell spirit wear at events like Open House and Mills Madness. Volunteers also help sort, package and deliver orders to homeroom teachers when shipments are delivered by the vendor.

MILLS MADNESS FAMILY EVENT (Jan – Mar) – Mills Madness is a HUGE school and community fundraiser event featuring incredible raffle baskets and a staff vs. student basketball game! We start preparing for Mills Madness in earnest after the Winter Break.

STAFF APPRECIATION (all year as needed) – Help with lunches and snacks for teachers and staff throughout the year. Volunteers are generally asked to help serve or contribute goodies.

REFLECTIONS (Aug – Oct) - Reflections is a national PTSA sponsored student cultural arts contest. Help is needed to organize the event and to get the word out. Information about this program will come out in early September.

8th GRADE EVENTS (all year, but mostly Apr – Jun) – Help with the 8th Grade Dance and End-of-Year Picnic and other events.

MEDIA CENTER (all year) – The Media Center needs your help shelving books and assisting the media specialist.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE (May – Jun) – Helping to recruit volunteers for leadership positions in the PTSA.

BOARD POSITION (nominating committee presents list of board openings and nominees between January and April for the following year.) - Board members attend meetings and vote minutes and agenda items into action. The board consists of PTSA volunteers in these roles: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, Audit, Membership VP, and Communications

GRANT COMMITTEE (all year) - accepting, reading and presenting grants to the board during meetings.

ADVOCACY CHAIRPERSON- Remains informed with county, state, and national PTA advocacy initiatives, and shares with MPMS PTSA via Board meetings or newsletter.

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE - Handle the FB, Twitter, and other social media platforms for the PTSA, maintain website and create and distribute newsletters and messages.
