Use this form to register for WIDA's six self-paced eWorkshops or on demand Introduction to Collaboration webinar for school year 2019-20.

Educators in the District of Columbia have access to a selection of WIDA’s online learning content through Aug. 31, 2020. The content is free and available to those who have a WIDA Secure Portal. Upon submission of this form, your OSSE representative will work to get you a WIDA Secure Portal account, if you do not have one already. Please allow up to 10 business days for this process to be completed.

Self-paced eWorkshops: All eWorkshops are free and available in the eLearning Center in the WIDA Secure Portal. Once you are granted access to the eWorkshops via the Professional Development tile on your WIDA Secure Portal account you are free to participate in any of the six eWorkshops on demand. Upon completion of a self-paced eWorkshop, you can print a Certificate of Completion.

Introduction to Collaboration Webinar: This webinar is free and available in the Download Library in the WIDA Secure Portal. This introductory webinar provides an overview of collaborative methods and models for planning, instruction, and assessment of multilingual learners. It is designed for individual teachers who collaborate, teams, teacher pairs, or instructional coaches.
The objectives of this webinar are to:
• Look at ways to discuss multilingual learners in a collaborative setting
• Explore various models of co-teaching
• Develop a shared understanding of academic language use within a collaborative setting
• Consider ways to evaluate co-teaching

Engaging Newcomer Multilingual Learners: Explores community building and instructional strategies for teachers of multilingual learners who have recently arrived in the US or who are new to US schools. 2 hours

WIDA Writing Rubric Series: Supports grades 1-12 educators with using the WIDA Writing Rubric to work effectively with multilingual learners in their writing development. 10 hours

Leading for Equity: Classroom Walkthrough: Introduces leaders to a classroom walkthrough resource that highlights practices and principles of exemplary and equitable teaching for multilingual learners. 2 hours
