UMCOR Early Response Teams (ERT) provide a caring Christian presence in the aftermath of disaster. The training equips you to help individuals clean up their homes and yards. ERTs travel to communities impacted by floods, fire, hurricane, tornadoes, etc. to carry out damage assessment, debris removal, tarp placement, and to help prevent further damage. Team members should be in good physical health. This training credentials you to enter disaster zones. An ERT badge is issued by UMCOR to applicants over the age of 18 after successful completion of the course and a background check. Badges are valid for 3 years. Individuals need not be United Methodist to take the training. The 8-hour Early Response Team course is facilitated by Donna & Roger Cullen, email@example.com • Fee is $25.00.
