Junior Skaters Participating in Adult Inline Hockey Activities Application

For all activities, the club is responsible for ensuring that the junior is participating in a safe environment for their age, skill level, size and maturity and the club is compliant with all current applicable government legislation.

A new application is required to be completed for changes to existing approved dispensations.

Prior to any dispensation being granted, member clubs must complete the following in the order listed below:

1.  Create their own Approved Junior Skaters Participating in Adult Inline Hockey Activities Policy, or adopt the Skate Victoria Junior Skaters Participating in Adult Inline Hockey Activities Policy, which can be downloaded from our website at: skatevic.org/Docs-Policies

2.  Comply with their state's legislation in regards to child safety, working with children checks/blue cards and register applicable cards here: skatevic.org/WWC. Victorian clubs must complete the Victorian Child Safe Standards Checklist, available here: skatevic.org/ChildSafe, South Australian Clubs must complete the South Australia Child Safe Environments checklist, available here: skatevic.org/ChildSafeSA

3.  Complete this form which will then be forwarded for digital signatures to the designated club coach to complete; the parent/guardian of applicant for permission; the club president for approval; and the applicant for agreement.

4.  Receive an email conformation from Skate Victoria that all requirements have been met, and the individual applicant has been granted dispensation to participate in adult inline hockey activities.

5.  Ensure the applicant has upgraded their Skate Victoria membership to Senior Inline Hockey membership.

6.  Understand and accept that adult clubs/teams/participants do not have to allow approved junior skaters to participate in their adult inline hockey activities. This is a privilege, not a right and that permission has to been sought by the approved junior’s club prior to juniors participating in adult inline hockey activities.

Applicants must be between 14 to 18 years old to receive dispensation to participate in adult inline hockey activities.
