COVID-19 National Scientist Volunteer Database (NSVD) State Coordinators Program
Hello fellow scientists,
Over the past 2 months, over 9,000 of you have signed up to lend your time and skills towards the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. We have successfully deployed some of you to various volunteer positions, but these opportunities have been confined to specific regions of the country. It is critical that we continue to identify volunteer opportunities throughout the United States as we battle this wave and prepare for future waves of infections.
To help expand our reach and maintain our positive momentum, we are launching the NSVD State Coordinators Program. As a state coordinator, your job will be to find volunteer opportunities in your area, contact the organizers of said opportunities to identify specific needs, and then work with the NSVD coordination team to deploy our volunteer scientists. The NSVD will provide you with tips, e-mail templates, and access to the contact information of key decision-makers in your area to help get you up and running. The time commitment is minimal, and all work can be done from the comfort and safety of your own home.
If you are interested in becoming a NSVD State Coordinator, please answer the questions below and we will send you an invitation to one of our 30-minute Zoom on-boarding meetings:
