Summer LEAP (Learning & Enrichment for Academic Progress) Program

Summer LEAP Program aims to prevent summer slide among NPS students in grades Prek-8th. The program focuses on Literacy and utilizes thematic, project-based approaches to learning with expanded opportunities for experiential learning. Community partners offer opportunities for wrap-around services and enrichment activities throughout the program at no cost to participants. 

Attendees who participate in the Summer LEAP Program will attend the 5 week program from June 8th -July 9th , 2026, Monday - Thursday.

**Summer LEAP Program activities will not be held on Thursday, June 18th and Thursday, July 2nd, 2026. 

Please complete the registration form below by Friday, May 15, 2026 to register your child for the Summer LEAP Program. The program times for each site are listed below. Your child MUST be enrolled at one of the following schools to participate in the Summer LEAP Program: Southside STEM, Chesterfield Academy, P.B. Young, Sr., or Ruffner Academy.

2026 SUMMER LEAP Site Information:
  • Southside STEM: 1:30-4:00 PM (Monday-Thursday)
  • Chesterfield @ P.B. Young, Sr.: 1:30-4:00 PM (Monday-Thursday)
  • Ruffner @ Jacox: 12:30-3:00 PM (Monday-Wednesday) and until 4:00PM (Thursday).
