I want to present at Tapestry 2017!
Are you interested in presenting at the Tapestry Conference in St. Augustine? If so, tell us more about your idea!
We're taking abstract submissions for 3 different types of content that we’ll highlight at Tapestry and will show off on our website and blog.
Short stories are 10 – 15 minute presentations. You can include media of any type that can be shown on-screen – video, slides, drawings, web pages or audio. In addition to speaking at the event, we’re asking you to contribute a guest blog post on the Tapestry Conference blog before the event too.
Demos are interactive data stories you’ll personally demonstrate (or let attendees interact with) during the demo showcase. You can use any software you choose, but you will need to bring your own computer to hook up to one of the monitors we’ll provide. We ask that Demos are recent within the last calendar year.
Posters are a mainstay of academic and research conferences, and we’re thrilled to have you to share your data (or storytelling) research with us in this format. Your poster should be no larger than 40” x 40”. We will not print or ship poster submissions, so you must bring it to the conference and take it with you when you depart. Please submit posters for review here, making sure to include your name and email address with your submission:
Remember, Tapestry is a data storytelling conference so your submissions should reflect the intersection of data + storytelling!
I'd like to present:
A short story (10 - 15 minutes)
A demo (presented at the demo showcase)
A poster (on display only)
Here's an abstract of what I'd like to present:
Have you presented this at another conference or meeting previously?
